Emma's new spot!

Tonight at about 5:00 the house was a little quite! I began to panic because we could not find Emma, I proceeded to think she had went outside (she has been known to do that) so I ran to the back door and to my surprise this is what I found. I had to laugh even harder because Jake Jr. was sitting at the table doing his homework and his dad had been in the kitchen about 2 minutes before we started looking for her. She was sound, you will be happy to know we laid her on the couch. She has not been taking naps lately and I think it caught up with her.

Turkey Run!

Oh yeah I forgot, when we left today the Turkey's would not get out of our way! The aren't the smartest bird!

Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and ate lots of food. We went to Winchester Ridge Ranch and met some of Jake's family from Texas and California. Let me tell you it was an experience. Once we arrived to the front of the entrance we still had about a 10-15 minute drive just to get to the house. The property is 1200 acres of wildlife roaming free. We saw everything from wild boars, wild turkeys and deer of all kinds. I can't even tell you the different types. I went on a walk with some of the girls and we took the 2 dogs which ended up chasing some of the boar, I was a little scared and we didn't know what to do. As you can read I made out of there alive. Emma and Ben took a jeep ride around the ranch to set out some corn for the animals. Ben collected wood for the fire as we did have a high of 39 degrees that day. Jake Jr. played his game boy all day, he wasn't to interested in going out in the cold. The kids had a good time and enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife. It wasn't like being back in Ohio but we at least had some cool weather so it truly felt like Thanksgiving and it was nice to be with some family here. They were very nice and Emma enjoyed playing with Sarah (10), Tiffany (14) and Stephanie (17).

Jake big haircut! OOPS!

On Wednesday I took the boys to get a haircut and apparently I told the stylist the wrong cut for Jake. I was to busy paying attention to what Ben and Emma where doing and looked up to my surprise and all of Jake's hair was gone. He wasn't to upset with me and I think he likes it now. I feel bad because the temperature dropped to 39 deg. on Thanksgiving so he had a very cold head. At least now I won't have to worry about what his hair looks like in the morning for school. He usually had a shark fin!

Jakes Thanksgiving story!

I wanted to share a copy of a story Jake helped write at school! I hope you all enjoy.

Ohio State vs. Michigan

I know this picture is late considering the game has past but I needed to post it anyway!

We had a nice weekend hanging around the house, watching the game and I was even able to go out to dinner with my friends Sherry, Jenine and Jessica from our neighborhood. We have tried to do a mom's night out once in a while and it was our second one. We had a great Mexican meal and good conversation, of course about our children! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I also need to show how creative Emma can be with her outfits. We have a mixture of no pants, Incredible sunglasses and her glass slipper's and don't forget her favorites accessory, a baby doll!

Thanksgiving

Ben was so excited when he got home to show us what he had made at school. The Kindergarten class had a Thanksgiving feast and made vests and hats! He looks so cute I must say!

Nov 14- Today is my first blog posting! Not sure how to do this whole thing but I will learn. This morning we had our daily routine of getting up and getting out the door at 7:20 for school. Emma was having a rough morning so she stayed home with daddy while I walked the boys to school and went on a walk with Sherry. We also when to a play group with some people I met from Sherry. We had a good time and Emma enjoyed some turkey cupcakes (shape form not flavor), they where cute. Sorry I did not take a photo! It was very warm today, I believe it reached 89 deg. but tomorrow we will drop to 70 deg. Sure does not feel like fall in Texas. Well I am going to explore what all I can do with this blog and hopefully you all can enjoy!
