He wanted the speed racer theme this year and boy was I lucky to find a deal on all of the goods. He received a lot of gift cards and money as well as WII games, remote cars and some clothes. He is ready to go shopping!!

Where have you been?

Sorry we have not been around for a while. My camera has not worked so I feel that I need pictures in order to post. I have borrowed Jakes camera so I can include some updated pictures of the kids taken today before Church. We have been busy again with school and soccer. Jake has practice now 2 night a week and Ben has one night and then we have 2 games on Saturdays. Most of our time has been consumed with that. I have been staying busy with Emma and I have started babysitting on Thursday's for a neighbor. I have also become a member and am the PTA Homeroom Chairman for Negley Elementary. When school started I was very busy getting that all organized. My jewelry business is picking up which is very exciting. Jakes job is going well and keeping him busy. Emma and myself are making a trip to Ohio this Thursday to see the new baby and of course visit the family. We will be coming back to Texas on the 20th. I will try and atleast add a bit here and there on my blog. I have alos included a little show of Ben's soccer game! I will get more of those once I get back from Ohio.

We are not missing!!!

I know it has been a while and yes we are back in Texas safe and sound! I have just been very busy getting back into the swing of things! When we got home on the 8th of July, I had until the 15th to get back in order and then get ready to leave again. I went to Ft. Worth for a National Rally with my business Premier Designs Jewelry! I had a great time and it was very motivating. I came home on the 19th and then on the 20th prepared for my One Year Annivesary show for my business. So now we are getting ready for back to school on August 25th. Boy the summer went fast. When I have some more time to add some pictures of our summer I will. It is going to take a while to go thru all of the pics. I will try to update as soon I can!!

Trip Home!!!

Well we made it to OHIO all in one piece!!!!! We had a nice day on Friday driving to Memphis, TN. We made it in about 10 1/2 hours with only 3 stops and we only "almost" ran out of gas once. Without going into to many details my car said there was "0" miles left to empty but we managed (with a lot of praying) that we could find a gas station. Let's just put it this way, my tank holds 23 gallons and when I filled up I put in 22.97 gallons. I WAS FREAKING OUT in ARKANSAS!! The only question we were asked on the first day was are we still in Texas, then are we still in Arkansas, then are we in Texas..... that went on and on. My sister and I were talking about what the Capitol of Arkansas was so we asked Jake Jr. "Jake, what is the Capitol of Arkansas", his reply, "A". We laughed so hard!!!!
Our second day was very long or it seemed so. We lost an hour because of the time change so it felt like we were in the car for hours, 11 to be exact. We went thru a storm in Columbus that appeared to be the start of a funnel cloud that passed right across the interstate as we were driving towards it, so that was a little scary. The rest of the way was rain and wind and a temperature drop of 30 degrees. That is right it is 60 degrees here. I have to admit it is a bit refreshing since we have been in the 90's for months in Texas. I won't have pics until we are back in Texas so you will have to enjoy my writing skills, HA HA!!!

Updates!

KIDS are out of school as of May 30th! It has been a very busy week with them home. It is nice that we have 2 pools in the neighborhood so we can go there for a few hours to get out of the heat and house. They have been having a lot of fun and are getting excited for Kristy, Kenzie and Lauren to be here on the 13th.
Okay so on May 28th I did a Triathlon practice with the club I joined. We swam 300 yards, road 11.4 miles and ran 2 miles. I was so praying that night that Jake would have been called out of town so I did not have to go. I thought I was going to be sick before I went. In the end I was glad I went and it was not bad at all. I made it thru all of the events I must say I am proud of myself. I never would have thought I would have ever done anything like that before. I was a hot mess when it was all over and could barely ride my bike back to the house, but I suffered no injuries and my knees where the only thing a little achey the next day. Maybe in the late summer I will actually complete a Real Triathlon! Hey Sherry, I thought I was just joining for exercise! What have you done to me!
Well that is about it! I will try to take some pics this week and post before we make our journey back to OHIO! We will be in Ohio from June 21st thru July 6th. We make a drive back to Texas the morning of the 7th! Pray that Kristy and myself can make it 1400 miles with 5 kids in the car who will probally ask us a million times "Are we there yet" not realizing they will be in the car for 2 days! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Graduation Day!

I can't believe it! Today we send another child off to the First Grade!!! I am glad I am not saying the Real World! We are so proud of Ben and all that he has learned this year. He is quite the Little Man!

Updates!

No pictures on this one just the top ten things that have been going on:
1. I joined (w/the coaching of my friend Sherry) the Hays County Triathlon Club. Yes I did! We have clinics to help the beginners and the advanced on training to run, swim, and bike. I am really enjoying the running and biking but not so much the swimming. I need to try harder on the swimming part.

2. Jake Jr. ate 2 worms at school yesterday in front of kids in his class on the playground. He had really changed since the beginning of the school year. He is becoming a silly child. He said they didn't taste like anything and he even (now this is gross) pulled one a part and ate it in sections.

3. Ben has Kinder Graduation next Thursday so I am trying to prepare for that. So sad and it went so fast.

4. Emma isn't really doing anything new other than just growing up and talking like a big girl. She still makes me laugh.

5. I am doing well in my Jewelry business and get to travel to the National Rally in July in Dallas. I am excited for the mini vacation and my sponsor (Trish) will be with me.

6. Kristy and the girls are coming to visit on June 13th and then we make are big drive back to Ohio on the 20th for a visit and stay til the 7th of July. The kids are very excited.

7. Jake Sr. has been very busy with work but at least we see him every day. I told him to train me so I can help him get organized since his office is in our bedroom!

8. It is hot here and it isn't even summer. We have been in the 90's and it isn't even summer. I don't remember it getting this hot in Ohio in the summer. So I am looking forward to a cool down.

9. Last day of school is the 30th.

10. I can't think of anything else! Did not make it to my top 10, Oh Well!

Ben's Party

I know, I know this is so late. I just have not had the time to sit down and upload the photos. Ben had a great time at his party. At first he did not want to participate, but found himself having a blast. We had invited all of the kids from his class and a few of the neighbors and they all had a great time. Ben did not want us to sing to him or have a picture with his cake. He did not even open presents until everyone left. He got a lot of Speed Racer things and Jake Sr. took the boys to see the movie. We had rented a Moonwalk and recieved also a huge slip in slide that was inflatable. I think that is what the kids played on most of the time and we even had it the next day to play on since it was in the 90's both days it helped keep them cool!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEN!

Today May 8th we brought a beautiful baby boy Benjamin David into this world. He is so fun and I just want to eat him up everyday! How can you not with that smile of his. It is so hard to believe that he is six already and going into the 1st grade. Ben is having a birthday party on Friday with all his friends and we will share his pictures sometime this weekend. I do not have a lot of pictures on the computer of baby Ben (no digital camera then) so I scanned a few for you to enjoy!

Field Trip to the Botanical Gardens in Austin

On April 24th Jakes class went on a field trip to the Botanical Gardens in Austin. I have included a few shot that I took. Emma went with us and had a lot of fun walking around with the kids and going to Zilker Park to have lunch. It was a long hot day and the kids were exhuasted.

Emma's Big Birthday Bash!!

Emma had a great time at her PARTY filled with a Castle, Pinata, Princess Cake and some great friends. She was so excited! She thought the Castle was hers to keep and did not like it when they came to take it away. She received lot of presents from books, games, to baby dolls and don't forget a Princess nightgown, bike and lots of accesories. She looked at her friend Zach when she opened a Cinderella Purse with earings and necklace and told him "That is mine and you can't have it" After she blew her candles out she said "I forgot my wish", I went to her and she whispered "I love my mommy" She was so sweet at the table and so proper we were all cracking up. I am sorry I did not get any video it would have be great to her it again. I need to save up for a digital video recorder. Now we are on our way to start planning for Ben's Big "6th" Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!

It is so hard to believe that the Little Miss Emma is already "3". We went to Carrabba's for lunch since that is my (oops) her favorite restaurant! She told the hostess she was five today! I think she is trying to grow up way to fast. After Church they sang Happy Birthday to her and she plugged her ears for the whole song! I wish I would have had my camera for that. We are having her birthday party next Saturday so I will post some pictures of the Princess Party then! Hope you enjoy the video, I am sure they are not in order!

Flying High!

The kids were given kites for Easter so we went to the field by our house yesterday and they had fun. The wind was a little strong at times and hard for Emma. She was done after the first try and wanted to go home. Jake could not figure out how to get his kite back in the air after it crashed. Ben had a great time and wanted to stay out there for ever.

Hullabaloo!

The kids were loaned a game for Lydia at Church and they had so much fun! Sorry my daughter is being an exhibitionist but the video is too cute not to post. I am not quite sure what happened to the shirt!

Easter Dinner!

On Sunday we enjoyed a family meal with pork loin, garlic mashed potatos (not as good as David's, but Emma still ate them), home made rolls, cooked carrots and believe it or not I did not make a desert. What was I thinking, actually I wanted to make a chocolate flourless cake but for some reason I did not have unsalted butter just sitting around. Everyone enjoyed just relaxing and having a nice peaceful day!

Easter Egg Coloring!

Jake was really getting into the coloring and thought we should have made a dozen eggs for each of them. I don't know who he thought was going to eat all of those eggs!

Easter Egg Coloring!

Ben also had fun! He likes to put his egg in every color and see what he comes up with. He also likes to put his fingers in there and try coloring those!

Coloring Eggs!

Emma enjoyed coloring her eggs and also wanted to keep coloring all night. You will notice I had used smocks to protect clothes and had to use those on the two that make the most messes.

Soccer Game!

Jake and Ben are playing soccer on the same team now. They are the Wolves! Today wad the 3rd game and not that we are keeping score or anything they won 8 to 5. Jake scored 2 goals and Ben had his first 3 goals, Michael scored 3 as well. Jake so far this season has had 6 goals and Ben has 3. It was a beautiful day today so we enjoyed being out of the house. I need to get a bigger memory card so I can take longer video with my camera, but I was able to capture one of Ben's goals and one of Jake's attempts. Watch how fast Ben runs, if you can see him. Ben is the youngest on the team, most of the kids are 7 and up and Ben is 5. He does pretty good with the Big Boys. Jake has gotten a lot better with passing the ball and his shooting. I will try to capture the Saturday games as much as I can.

Ben's Easter Egg Hunt

All of the kindergarten classes had an Easter Egg Hunt today at the park next to the school. They had a lot of fun and had to find 12 eggs that each had there name on them.

Emma and friends

I wanted to catch Emma playing with her bear and baby on the stairs. This is where she usually puts everyone and talks to them. Enjoy!

Spring Break 08'

I am so sorry it has been a while! I am not living up to my New Years goals and updating my blog! The kids where on Spring Break last week and we were offered an oppurtunity to go to Port Aransas for the week. The kids had fun and we visited the Texas State Aquarium and played in the sand. The ocean was cold but that did not stop the boys from getting in. Emma enjoyed playing in the sand with her princesses.
The boys have started soccer and we were able to move Ben up to Jake's league and Jake Sr. is the coach! I promise next Saturday to take some video of the boys playing and share. They have practice on Tuesday's and game every Saturday. Jake has scored 4 goal in the 1st two games and Ben has come pretty close to scoring. Ben is so tiny out there with the bigger boys but he is pretty aggressive and keeps up! I hope everyone enjoys the video!

Cool Miss Emma!

She is always cracking me up! She came down yesterday saying "Momma look at me, take my picture! Is she ready for the Runway or what!!
Ben has been home sick with strep for 2 days. He is fealing better and will go back to school tomorrow. He never complains about being sick, he said his throat hurt a little but complained more about a stomach ache. The doctor was even surprised the test came back positive. We say he is our best sick child, so calm unlike the Drama Queen Jake who says " I can't survive" I wish I had that on video. Everyone else is fine and healthy.

Jake's tooth

Finally Jake has lost another tooth! This makes 3! WOW!. He tried to put a piece of plastic under his pillow along with his tooth. You ask why? He said " I thought the tooth fairy wouldn't notice and give me money for 2 teeth. Jake is always thinking!

Emma and friends

I really do not have anything exciting to add so far this week, just the same old daily routines. I do want to announce that Emma is officially potty trained. YEAH! We are diaper free. In fact i gave my friend Sherry all of the diapers I had. Emma is very proud of herself, now I just need to get her off of wanting a trear after she goes. We may be working on a diet next for her (just kidding). It has been very windy here this week and the tempatures are fluctuating from 70 to 34 in a day. Yesterday Zach and Athena came over to play and we dressed Athena up as a princess so I had to share the photos. Today I went to the school to help Ben's teacher and was able to go to lunch with Ben. Kendric in Ben's class talked to me the whole time. It was fun and Ben enjoyed me being there, or I hope he did. He had a smile! Emma went to play with Zach while I went to the school.
Emma's vocabullary is expanding! Yesterday Jake Sr. was getting ready to leave for work and he asked Emma for a hug (she was on her way upstairs) she said " Just a minute Dad I'll be there in a second, I have to get something for mom" She cracks us up some times the way she talks to us. Well that is it for now. Enjoy the photos. I know I have a lot of Emma but I am with her the most during the day. I will try and take more of the boys when they get home from school. The pictures at the end are from the summer if you couldn't tell!

Sing it Girls!

Emma is so funny and I finally was able to capture a little bit of what she does. She has on the steps to babies covered with blankets and keeps yelling SING IT GIRLS! while she is playing music. I hope you enjoy. Today we are cleaning the house and getting ready for a Premier Designs Open House. I have about 14 guests attending so wish me luck.

Trip to Ohio and before!

Bowling!

I know it has been a while, over a month to be exact! I at least have an excuse that we were in Ohio from Dec. 26th to January 5th and my dad's computer was down, yada yada yada.... Yes we surprised the kids and flew back to Ohio on Dec. 26th. They had so much fun despite Jake Jr and myself being sick for a majority of the time, but we all had fun visiting family! The last day of our trip we took the kids bowling and believe it or not Emma bowled a 93. The video clip below will show you exactly what she did to get that, I wish I could have used it. We are all now back in Texas and I think we brought the cold weather with us! The kids are already looking forward to getting out of school in May and ready for Summer. We are signing the boys up for soccer this spring and hoping to get them on the same team. Yeah for us if it works, ONE PRACTICE, ONE GAME :) I hope you enjoy the videos of our trip home. I need to start taking more pictures this one true media thing it is so COOL!
